Hypnosis is a creative approach. It is a state of intense concentration called a trance. It does not provoke loss of consciousness, nor loss of self-control. The patient keeps free will and can come out of the trance when he/she wishes. The therapist acts as a guide in order to teach the patient how to use his subconscious to improve his inner state.
